More Information About Puerto Banus

Between Marbella Town  and Estepona lies Puerto Banus. Renowned as a holiday resort and home to the rich and famous,  Puerto Banus offers one of the best year round climates in Europe. Puerto Banus, is home to some of the finest shops and restaurants in Spain and has a large yacht marina and offers you beaches with views towards Africa and Gibraltar.

Until 10 years ago, Puerto Banus was so exclusive only a few people had actually heard of it, but in recent years "The Port" has grown and what once consisted of just 2 roads and a marina has now developed into an International Resort.

As its not a huge town, Puerto Banus itself only has 5 Hotels but there are endless Holiday Apartments  for rent including our very own which is a large 1 bed first floor apartment, which is ideal for a couple, 2 friends sharing or a couple with small children. Another is owned by friends of ours which is a 2 Bed, 2 Bath apartment both are within 1km of Puerto Banus and really well located for supermarket and restaurants.

I feel that the Puerto Banus actually has two personalities, daytime & nightime. Daytime its a beautiful, Mediterranean Port with endless outdoor coffee shops and restaurants catering for every taste and culture, not to mention a shoppers paradise with all the latest designers shops in Puerto Banus. My favourite time is between 8pm and Midnight, strolling around the shops and eating Al Fresco.

Nightimes, or after Midnight to be more precise, the Port turns into a Party Town with the bars open until 4am every night and music and clubs to suit all ages and tastes going on till 9am in some cases.

The summer is obviously much, much busier than the winter. From November through to March the main nightlife takes place from Thursday till Saturday. Although most restaurants are open throughout the week.
