Malaga Airport to Fuengirola
Just discovered your information "oasis," how helpful is that????.
Having scrolled down through previous questions, would you still suggest the train to Fuengirola and then a taxi on to Mijas Costa.
Also I am arriving a couple of hours prior to my partner and daughter. Is there somewhere suitable to wait in the arrivals side at Malaga (ie a bar, cafe etc).
Thanks, Martin.

Hi Martin,
As you come out of arrivals there is The Golf Bar on the left hand side which really is the only place to sit and have a drink. Its not that great, but its somewhere.
If on a budget and dont want to spend the money on taxi then I would say yes, get the train to the last stop and then catch a taxi or bus to Mijas Costa, your destination. The train website is http://www.renfe.es/ go to Cercanias (local lines Malaga).
Have a good time.

Joanne

Jo, thanks for your advice last week regarding the option of catching the train to Fuengirola from the airport. I did however end up booking a taxi on line via fbd@taxicostadelsol.com . The contact there is a Snr Francisco Barroso and he is really helpful. The cab was there waiting and I booked it to collect me again to return to the airport yesterday from Club La Costa at Mijas (17 miles)
The cost was 40 euros each way and was worth it because of the service and reliabilty. Would recommend and use again.
Thanks, Martin
