Malaga Airport to Nerja
Hi there We have the opportunity to stay at a friends villa in Nerja. We do not wish to hire a car so are looking for the cheapest way to travel from the airport to the villa this April. I know there is a train station outside treminal 2 but will this take us striaght to Nerja or do we have to change?. We are a party of 6 to Adults females and 4 kids aged 8 and under so we don't wish to become stressed. Taxi I think on looking on internet are 88 euro but we will not all fit in one taxi. Aslo are there the bigger taxis 8 seaters sitting outside the airport and if so how much do you think they will charge?. Hope ypu can help Joe
HI,No taxis only take 4 passengers. You could look at a private transfer from Malaga Airport where you could all travel together. There is a bus http://www.estabus.emtsam.es/ You wuld need to get from Malaga Airport to Malaga Bus Station where you then catch this bus from. Regards Joanne

Hi
I use the bus from Malaga Airport to Nerja a couple of times a year and my parents use it every couple of months.
The bus from the airport to Malaga bus station is the No 19 and runs every 30 minutes, it is 1 euro per person. You pay the driver as you board the bus and they prefer you to have correct change if possible.
The buses from Malaga bus station to Nerja are regular, if you get an express bus it will take about
1 hour 20 minutes if you get the bus that takes the scenic route it takes nearer 2 hours. Current cost is 3 euros 58 per person. You buy your ticket at the ticket office inside the bus station, it is normally stand 38 that the buses depart from.
The bus station at Nerja is up on the main road, depends on where you are staying how long it would take you to walk with luggage. You could get the local bus to you accommodation, linea 1 and linea 2, one goes clockwise around the town and the other anticlockwise 1 euro per person.
Airport taxis will only take 4 people and are approx 75 euros to Nerja. We find the bus the cheapest and easiest option.
www.holidaytaxis.com are pretty good but for a return transfer for all of you in a minibus is around £350, which is way too expensive!
I hadn't realised that all the kids were under 8, the bus could end up pretty stressful as the bus from the airport to malaga is normally very busy
