English International College Marbella

EIC is The English International College in Marbella and is a Private School. As like Aloha, ICS, Swans etc it takes kids from 3 years to 18 years old. It follows the English National Curriculum and has over 500 students. The main language is English being around 80% but many other nationalities make up the other 20%. There are always shows and swimming galas and events happening there. It really does follow everything you would expect from a School in Britain following, English, Maths, Geography, Art etc etc. If your child decides to go to University, then from this school they will probably have to go to an English University as they will only study Spanish as a second language for hour a so a few times a week whereas in a International School, studying Spanish Social Studies, they may get into a Spanish University. There is a lot to decide and think about, but if you are arriving in Spain from the UK and not too sure how long you are staying then I would definately advise this school. Although Aloha & ICS would also cater to your needs.

 

We havent been to see EIC, although we have been on the campus for School Fetes etc. It seems quite nice. We know people who send there children there and they are extremely happy with the school and education. It has a very high examination result for a british school abroad.. If you are moving here with older kids and staying only a short time or indefinately and want them to slot straight in then this school would probably be one you should see.

 

Most schools start somewhere between 8.45 and 4pm. There is normally 10 weeks holiday in the summer months.
