International School San Pedro

The International College of San Pedro was formeley Kings College and changed their name in 2007. Like Aloha College the school takes students from 3 years to 18 years old. The school is on one campus although the infant, primary and secondary are in separate areas. The schools covers 11,000msq and is in San Pedro Alcantara which is beach side in San Pedro. Unless the curriculum and layout has changed since changing over from Kings, they too follow the IB (International Baccalaureate).

All schools are different when it comes to Spanish. Some have Spanish classroom assistants all day, some just in the morning, some not until children are 5 years old or older. So do be sure to ask all questions of exactly how much Spanish your child will receive.

The facilities of the school is just amazing. Great play area for the infants, huge sports area and facilities, brilliant music room and computer room. Just incredible amount of facilities, but you are paying for it too.

There is a huge number of different nationalities at ICS just like Aloha including many Spanish Children too.

 

We went to see this school when it was Kings. Unlike Aloha College we didnt get to meet the head mistress. Instead we had a meeting with her secretary. Approaching the school its amazing and huge. When the sun is shining you really could be anywhere even Beverly Hills. The schools was big with fantastic facilities. The pre-school was lovely with lots of activities and lovely colourful clean rooms. It all seemed so new, but then it was only built a few years ago in 2004

 

A school days is from between 8.45 and 16.10 for Foundation Stage & 16.15 for older children.

 

Firstly, to enter ICS, your child needs to take a test 100€uros. If the child is successful it will be dedcuted from the enrolement fee. If not refunded. Then 2,000€uros enrolement fee needs to be paid within 2 weeks of the test for a place. Then another 2,000 deposit is taken which is refundable at the end of the childs schooling

For 2006 / 2007 Prices were as follows and to be paid 3 times a year.

There is also a school bus which costs between between 200 and 300 per term depending on where you catch the bus from.
