Malaga Airport Shopping

Malaga Airport Shopping and eating facilities are good, but dont expect it to be like Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester or Luton. Its not such a bad thing though. When I used to travel alot I spent a fortune in Duty Free before I even got on the aeroplane. There are however, plenty of places to get a snack, stock up on Spanish price cigarettes, presents and even buy a designer outfit from Hugo Boss or Tommy Hilfiger.

If you arrive at the airport very early and dont want to go straight through once checked in then in Terminal 2 (the main terminal) there are a couple of places to grab a quick snack.

In terminal 1 (which you can get to by walking towards the left hand side of Terminal 2) there is a Burger King and also another Spanish Restaurant where you can get something hot to eat.

In Terminal 1 there is also a large Gift Shop and Farmacia / Chemist. Terminal 1 is also where Lost Property is and also Place of Worship. There is also a terrace if you need that quick last ciggy.

There are 5 Duty Free Shops within Terminal 2. 1 of them is huge and selles everything you would expect from a Duty Free shop.

If your meeting someone in arrivals hall, the best place to meet is in The Golf Bar, this sells snacks, sandwiches etc.

In the departures hall before you check in there are a selection of cafes and newspaper shops but it is probably best to go straight through after checking in, as this is where you will find the best selection of shops and a Hagaan Daz ice cream parlour!

The usual Cigarette and Drink Shops stock all the familiar Brand Names so there is not much point or saving in buying your "Duty Free" shopping before you get to Malaga Airport.

If you are keen to get some last minute shopping done then Plaza Mayor, a large entertainment complex is just 5 minutes away from the Airport along with Ikea which is soon to open October 30th.
