By Car: La Cañada is located on the A7-E15 (N340) ring road around Marbella, on the junction for "Ojen", "Parque Commercial" and McDonalds. La Cañada is about 40 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and approx 10 minutes drive from Puerto Banus.

By Bus: Approx 3 minute walk from the Shopping Centre. There is no train station.

By Taxi. There are two taxi ranks outside.

Monday to Saturday 10am to 10pm. During Summer, Christmas and Spanish Bank Holidays La Canada occassionally opens. Best to telephone first 0034 952 866 134. The Cinema, Bowling and Restaurants are open beyond these times.

There is lots of free parking available. During the summer months we would advise parking underground as the cars get exceptionally hot. Wherever you park...remember the number of your space. We have lost our car on numerous occasions especially when we have parked outside. You used to be able to get your car washed whilst you parked but now a new Laser Wash is soon to open between Boulanger and Leroy Merlin.

 

There are lifts in the middle of the complex and at the far end near Zara which give access to all floors. Toilets have a designated rest room with disabled facilities and in the main toilets there is a place for baby changing. There is also designated parking for disabled drivers. So far I have only seen designated parking spaces for Mothers & Babies at Miramar Centre, Fuengirola.

 

 

La Canada Shopping Centre, I think is one of the best shopping centres on the Costa Del Sol. With many shops including the familiar English Shops; Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop, Evans, Wallis and Hennes, it also has hairdressers, restaurants, Alcampo Supermarket, Ten Pin Bowling, Amusement Arcades, Multiplex Cinema and State of the Art Gymnasium.

Just a short walk from La Canada there is Boulanger, a big electrical store, Leroy Merlin for all your DIY materials, Intersport and Norauto Garage which does general repairs and sells all the accessories you need for your car.

Habitat has been open over a year ago now in La Canada. Its not as big as some of the Habitat Stores in England but it sells a pretty good range of furniture and household products and I found the staff to be very helpful. I am personally very pleased to see Habitat in Spain as the only other well known furniture store is Ikea in Seville which is two hours drive away from Marbella.

Another new shop to open in La Canada is Sephora. Sephora has opened upstairs in the middle part. There is a Sephora in Marbella Town too. Sephora is a very colourful make-up and perfume store that sell their own products and also all the makes like YSL, Chanel, etc. Near Sephora, Geox shoes has now opened up too with another shop in Puerto Banus. Claires Accessories has also opened close to Alcampo and a Lingerie Shop called Intissimo which is quite nice.
